How to restore missing desktop icons in Windows 10

"My Computer" is probably one of the most used icons in Windows OS. Windows 8 first started and newer OS's followed the trend of removing the icon usually here by default, and here we are showing you how to return it to Desktop.

Step 1

Personalize

Make a right-click anywhere on the Desktop and click Personalize from the drop-down menu.

Step 2

Desktop icon settings

Now you will see a window as shown in the image where you need to click on “Themes”, then “Desktop icon settings”.

Choose between the icons you want showing on desktop and confirm by Apply and then OK.

Step 3

And the icon is restored

Now you have restored the missing icon!
