If you're in a situation where you can't use your mobile data so can't load Google maps to help you navigate, in this Daisy's how to see how you can download offline maps (on time).

How to download offline Google maps

Personally, we often use this for international travel, makes it so much easier and cheaper, because you can definitely avoid those huge bills that are like a cold shower after travels.

Step 1

Open Google Maps

Open Google Maps app on your iPhone or an Android and write in a place you want to download the offline map for.

We are going to write in Zagreb for the purposes of this article.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: make sure you are logged in your Google account on your mobile phone so you’re able to use all the Google Maps app features

Step 2

Choose your options

After choosing the desired map of city or location, tap on the bottom of the screen to open the menu, then press the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen and click on “Download offline map” for download.

Step 3

Map download

First, you will see a message stating that the map will use some of your storage.

Important notice: make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi during download

Step 4

Additional info

After downloading maps you will receive a message stating how long the maps will be active on your mobile phone. You can also delete it after you no longer need it.
